After 25 years and three generations of dedicated owners, you could say that Eastern Chauffeur knows a thing or two about getting clients to their destinations on time. Founded by Patrick Flynn, the business is now overseen by son, David Flynn, and grandson, Ruben Morelli, who are all proud of its status as one of the most highly regarded chauffeur companies in Norfolk. Ongoing contracts with some of the region’s most prestigious clients – including Lotus, Norwich City FC and Aviva – is a prime indication of the reliability and exclusivity of the services on offer. The fleet of vehicles include a selection of high spec Mercedes driven by chauffeurs who are all required to wear business suits.
The judges were particularly impressed with the efforts made by Eastern Chauffeur to bring their business into the 21st century. This year will see the purchase of their first electric chauffeur-driven car as the business begins to move away from traditional diesel vehicles. This is all part of a deliberate restructuring plan that will see more electric cars included in the fleet – an essential part of the transport industry’s transformation into a more eco-friendly sector. While the pandemic hit the business hard, it is a testament to the family’s hard work and adaptability that they have been able to emerge from Covid not just surviving, but thriving.
